I watched Jennifer's Body (online) today. Not very spectacular I think, I would rate it a 3.5/5.

Considering that I watched it online, the intended impact of the show wasnt that great, since the video screen is tiny, dark & not very clear. There's some scenes with a "wow" factor, but other than that, to me it's basically a typical occult-horror movie with lots of blood. Cliche I would say. There's some funny dialogue though, like when Jennifer was stabbed & bleeding, she looked down at the blood oozing out of her & asked Needy, "Have you got a tampoon?" Needy stared at her wide eyed & shook her head. "Thought I'd ask." Jennifer replied.

Cody (Producer) said she wanted the film to speak to female empowerment and explore the complex relationships between best friends."(Director) Karyn Kusama and I are both outspoken feminists," she said. "We wanted to subvert the classic horror model of women being terrorized. I want to write roles that service women. I want to tell stories from a female perspective. I want to create good parts for actresses where they're not just accessories to men."Addressing "the male-dominated" horror genre, Cody said "a key reason for writing the film was to bring to the screen a new way of expressing the intensity of female bonds". "The friendships that I had as an adolescent had this unparalleled intensity," she stated. "I wanted to show how almost horrific that devotion can be. It's almost parasitc."

THAT, they certainly succeeded. It's nice to see the guys screaming & being gutting for a change, and mannn, those guys sure can scream. :D I'm pretty sure a "scream test" was conducted as part of their audition LOL.

Addressing her decision to have Jennifer (Megan Fox) and Needy (Amanda Seyfried)be romantically intimate at one point during the film, which takes place in the form of a long and passionate kissing scene, Cody said she did not write the scene to score publicity. Speaking of the scene's media hype, she said that "if the two protagonists of the film were a guy and a girl and in a particularly tense moment, they shared a kiss, no one would say it was gratuitous" but "the fact that they’re women means it’s some kind of stunt". The scene was "intended to be something profound and meaningful" to her and Kusama.

She further stated:
Obviously we knew people were going to totally sensationalize it. They’re beautiful girls, the scene is hot — I’m not afraid to say that. There is a sexual energy between the girls which is kind of authentic, because I know when I was a teen-aged girl, the friendships that I had with other girls were almost romantic, they were so intense. I wanted to sleep at my friend’s house every night, I wanted to wear her clothes, we would talk on the phone until our ears ached. I wanted to capture that heightened feeling you get as an adolescent that you don’t really feel as a grownup. (laughs) You like [your] friends when you’re a grownup, but you don’t need to sleep in the same bed with them and talk to them on the phone until 5 a.m. every night.

Hmmm.. intense friendships? I can probably relate..
Oh, that on-screen kiss was rather hot. Megan Fox did some heavy breathing. LOL

PICTURE BELOW IS NSFW (Not Suitable For Work ie. contains nudity)

This was the picture that caused a big boo boo on the Internet because admit it boys, which straight male doesnt want to see her naked/semi-naked? It wasnt much of a big deal in the movie actually. Yes, she does walked out of a lake naked but you only see her back view for a few seconds? Honestly, if you're thinking of watching this movie just for Megan Fox's naked bod, then you will be sadly disappointed. (Unless there's an uncut version?)

Somehow after this show, I dont find Megan Fox as hot as she was in Transformers. Maybe she is overly sexy (if that's possible lol) and it gets boring.

MASSIVE PHOTO UPDATE
(Just so I will remember what happened)

3 October: Sun-tanning @ Sentosa
It may be a sun-tanning session but there WASNT ANY SUN. Just lots of clouds, dark clouds. It seems that whenever the clique decides to go Sentosa, we always encounter rainy days.
There was only me, stella, sha, linda & wj because the rest either, 1.hates the sun, 2.too busy, 3.having period.

Due to the lack of communication, we have with us 4 mats and no vball or frisbee. Big LOL! We also bought Mac breakfast and took it there. It was extremely windy and once the mat flipped and threw alot of sand on my pancakes, jam and harshbrown. After some failed attempts at brushing the sand off my pancakes, I decided to not be a pussy and just ate my pancakes. It was crunchy.

The best part of this outing? We were just lounging on our mats talking when we saw a group of HOT AMERICAN (?) BABES. It is not just me-who-likes-to-ogle-pretty-girls talking here, the rest agreed that they are indeed hot and we even contemplated going over and asking to take a picture with them. So we were just there, stealing alot of peeks at them and that's also how we observed that ALOT of people were looking at them too. I must say, it was certainly a sight for staring at 'cause one of the girls had this really professional camera in her hands and was taking pictures of another hot brunette who btw, was giving sexy poses on the sand, in the water. You got to be dead to not stare. Furthermore, they were hanging out next to this bridge, which means that there are ALOT of people passing by.

In an attempt to get a closer look at those pretty girls, we actually cross the bridge to the little pseudo island opposite.

The bridge allows awesome camwhoring.

Then it was mine and stella's turn to take that closer look but even with my 12x optical zoom camera, I couldnt get a good sneaky pic of them. SIGH. LOL. So yeah, we camwhore a bit and went back.

No idea what we were doing.

There wasnt much to do actually, since we didnt have a vball or frisbee so the others took out notes to study hahah. By this time, the pretty girls had actually left because this fucking perv of a bangla stood extremely close to them and blatently took alot of pictures of them. Guess the girls feel violated or something.
After that, we decided to fork out some money to buy a vball because we were kinda bored and on our way, we spot those pretty girls again! Initially we were guessing that they are younger than us but up close, they look really mature. Why do Americans/Europeans always look older than their age? I friend a german girl on LJ because I like her taste in things (& she's cute lol) and I thought she was around my age. When she told me that she's 15 yrs old my eyes bulged and I went "OMG". She "lol" at me and told me that not all 15yrs old are "red necky", which I dont understand what that means. *frowns*
Or maybe I'm just kiddy in all ways.

7 October: Choc-making/melting at my house
Ugh, my house is a mess.

I was just showing off my LEGO to stella and she was fascinated by the shark that can "eat" an entire minifig.

Sha took my hams out to play. More like abusing it. :D

My kitchen is not really a kitchen.

This is call, The Master At Work.

Why did stella looks like she wanna escape from me? ):

8 October: Doulos tour + YY's bday celebration at Clark Quay
Had breakfast in the morning with bestfriend and we went on a ship tour on Doulos.

Bestfriend didnt send me HER photo! -__-

When she told me to pose like a tourist despite my protests and she didnt send me hers once again!

I love ships in general. It's not like an obsession, but I definitely enjoy looking at ship models. To be onboard a ship as old as Doulos, it's a great feeling.

I looked so scruffy in these photos! I felt weird too, 'cause we had to climb alot of steep steps, and the wind was quite strong and I was wearing a damn dress. As much as I enjoy a breeze up my nether regions, I dont want to cause an eyesore to others by flashing them.

There's alot of facilities on the ship, albeit a bit on the small side. A guy was having a haircut when we popped our heads in and he smiled at us and said hi.

Look at that hot guy reading a book in the picture! :D

We were at the bow of the ship talking, enjoying the breeze and we saw this deckie climbing up the mast. The Captain was there and he came to talk to us. He told us that the Singapore flag that they were flying on the mast got caught and the deckie was suppose to free it. He said that the deckie could have free it by tugging one of those numerous ropes but the deckie wants to "show off" and climb the mast. He really looks like how a Captain would look like, all white hair and bearded with a jolly feel to him.
It was definitely an interesting trip. The Doulos crew are all so happy, smiley, friendly and.. are Christians. It was kinda awkward when the tour guide asked me if I'm a Christian and when I said no, she had this look of.. pity in her eyes? Anyway, I was just glad that I went with bestfriend because she took care of me in a way and make things less uncomfortable when it gets awkward. The tour guide prayed for us at the end of the tour and I'm just touched by her sincerity and how much she seems to hope that I will eventually find Jesus without blatently preaching to me. Intense.
I hate it when people try to "force" you to convert and start telling you how right their beliefs are and how wrong yours are. It's so tactless. Religon was never an issue in my RV days, it hardly ever came up. JJ days were the exact opposite of that. Certainly some bad memories which I wouldnt go into now...

Met up with the girls at night, we went to a pub at Clark Quay because YY likes to drink. We had a dress code and it was DRESSES OR ELSE FORFEIT. Bestia the bear wore a dress too, like ohmy can you believe it. O__O

Amused by The Beatles wall art.

When the bartenders/waiters found out that it was YY's bday, they gave her this "drink" which consist of many cherries and ice.

I swear they only want to rub shoulders with YY, bday greetings was probably just a front. HMMM.

We played games and had forfeits so that we can eventually trick YY into doing her bday "activity".

One of the bartenders had his bday on the same day so they celebrated together.

We had decided to make YY go around wearing this sandwich board and asking for/getting free hugs from 10 people.

It wasnt easy, we had to go up to people and ask for free hugs rather than people coming up tp us. Majority of the people who agreed are foreigners because Singaporeans have a bad sense of spontanous fun. It was so fun to observe people's reactions and expressions, me & stella were doing that. Most passer-bys frowned when they saw YY but after they glimpsed the back of the board they would give a smirk.

See? I was right, the waiter wanted to "kope" a feel. -__- Hahah, but he was nice.

She was really nice (and pretty)! But she was with her bf and her bf had a big "wtf are you doing" look on his face. Priceless. HAHAHAH!

This guy was a little drunk and a little over enthu.

Look at Bestia's leg! Wj was averting his eyes, tsk,

9 October: Swimming @ JE + Alex's house visit
Due to the previous failed sun-tanning attempt, we arranged to go swimming + sun-tanning. The weather was incredibly good and we all turned as red as ang-ku-kueh. We did alot of fun nonsense like doing situps at the edge of the pool and "circle of trust". Didnt managed to dig much out of bestia unfortunately HAIS.

After having dinner together, I went down to Tanah Merah (!!!) to go to Alex's house. Oh, it was a LEGO grp outing. This was my second visit to Alex's house and his LEGO collection is incredible.

We started this game called Brikwars, which is like a mixture of Chess + Risk. We had to come up with our own rules, game strategies and all those nitty gritty details. It was fun because we personalized our own "troops" so nobody had the same.

Can see how much I was enjoying it. :D

It was a 3-on-3 battle.

Team leaders LOLLOL.

Alex has his Taj Mahal under his TV set (see that white building?), his Death Star first edition behind Sammy and Sammy was totally thrilled with the 9v trains.
One funny moment was when we were all lounging in the living room, playing + building LEGOs and Alex's wife came home. Suddenly all the guys went quiet and someone said "Uh-oh" because there wasnt any room to manuvoer around us. Then quickly almost everyone got up and make way for Alex's wife. I was so amused by the guilty look on almost everyone's face. LOL!

It was so fun.
