Clique chalet was awesome.

It could be summed up in a few words.

Mahjong + Sleep + BBQ + More Mahjong + Drinking + HTHT + More sleep.

I swear we're the laziest clique ever. Nobody else clocks 6hrs of sleep on both nights but us. We rented bikes for night cycling but didnt, as it rained + we were too lazy. lol.

I'm tired and I'm collapsing from lack of sleep soon if I dont go to bed now.
But I have to blog about today.

Today, I went for the first trg session for the association's upcoming theatre play. Basically there was a malay drama coach and man, he's good. We did the usually drama stuff, warm-ups, movements, gestures etc. However, the focus is more on mimes and it's fun. All these exercises really made me miss el alot... Anyway, the group was small so the drama coach could give everyone pointers individually to improve. The others there are regular volunteers for the association and they were practising their song-signing, I was taught a bit of "Dont Stop Believing (Glee Cast Version)". My classmate JJ, from SL BS1 & BS2, went for this trg session with me and thank goodness he was around. Meeting new people and having some communication barrier is intimidating sometimes. I still couldnt pick up on the others signing, my vocab is too limited and they sign too fast for me to catch, hence I was lost most of the time when they are signing.

NEED
TO
PRACTISE
MORE!

Looking forward to subsequent sessions.

Completely unrelated to what I had in mind for this post, but it also serves as a reminder for me to start making some artsy stuff again. This was the last artsy thing I did, and that was for my portfolio presentation for art school L; which was so long ago.

On a random-but-somewhat-related-note, szeying asked me to go take art lessons with her. I told her what for, I'm going art school L. in August and am gonna pay a hefty sum to study art. Silly.

ANYWAY, these few weeks/month had been pretty awesome. Look at this man:

-7th April, The Tempest by The Bridge Project at Esplanade Theatre

-17th April, S.H.E Is The One concert by Unusual Productions at S'pore Indoor Stadium

-4th May, Animal Farm by Wild Rice at Drama Centre Theatre

-6th May, Chicago the Musical by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions at Esplanade Theatre

-8th May, Andrea Bocelli Live in S'pore (YTL Celebrations) at Botanical Gardens

YES, LAST WEEK WAS LIKE BEING IN (MY IDEA OF )PARADISE.

Another one coming up:

-1st June, Izumi Tateno Piano Recitals at Victoria Concert Hall

Not to mention the theatre plays for Arts Festival.. :D

Had my last sign lang lesson for Basic Stage 2 last week. My sign instructor, LG (her initials, as google is scary) is awesome. She's an inspiration to people, that so long as you love what you do, nothing can stand in your way. She's deaf but she loves music. Deaf people can hear music too, just somewhat different from the rest of us. Anyway, she taught us a bit of song signing and shared with us her experiences. It took her 1 year to master song signing her specialty song, which really says alot about her determination and passion. Really, really admirable.

She's also in charge of a theatrical play for the association's 55th anniversary concert and I will be volunteering for that. First training is this thursday, I'm a little worried as my signing is not up to the standard yet, and the volunteers would consist of hearing and hearing impaired people; so I'm afraid that I would have much difficulty understanding & communicating with them. :(

Sigh. I need someone to practise with me, as everybody has different style in signing and I always have a hard time deciphering what the others are signing. zzzz.

Oh by the way, it's super irritating to leave anonymous comments. Just so you know.

1. I need to cut my hair like that.

2. Get a tattoo on my forearm and possibly more tattoos elsewhere.

3. Design a skateboard & learn how to "ride" it.

4. Have Freja Beha as my wife.

Talk about self-expressions and unobtainable wants. sigh.

"The Twilight books and the Sookie books are told from the point of view of Bella and Sookie, respectively. These are two girls who, while not being complete idiots, are not the smartest characters I’ve ever encountered. And while both claim to enjoy reading (Jane Austen for Bella, smutty mysteries for Sookie), the reader barely ever actually sees them reading. So, doesn’t it make sense that they wouldn’t be that good of story tellers? It would be beyond ridiculous if these two relatively boring and uninsightful girls transformed into Charles Dickens as soon as pen and paper were placed before them! So by making the writing so extremely bad, it makes the reader more willing to believe that they were written by a normal, vaguely not-stupid girl. Even the ridiculously bad dialogue can be chalked up to the fact that the reader is experiencing it through such a dully unreliable narrator. "
LOLLOLLOL
OMG WORSHIP SIA
I THINK SHE'S MY SOULMATE, THE ONE I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR
oh wait
this feels like a moment of deja vu
seems like i've said the same thing before
hmmm
"Of course, I am aware that I am giving Stephenie Meyer and Charlaine Harris much too much credit here. Probably they think that their books were terribly clever and well-written and did not even think about them being in first person. But I much prefer ignoring that fact, just so that I have some explanation as to why I’ve read those books."

yn: hahahahhahaha
she is hilarious
LOL you're chalking up soulmates by the dozen
